February Habitat Tips – Greg Skufca

February is the month where I spend significant time enhancing bedding areas.  This benefits the deer because they browse on any trees that are dropped.  Typically, I will look at corridors between bedding areas and enhance the connecting habitat if needed and if possible.  This thought process is all about creating a false sense of security.  I also keep my eyes open for sheds and I have found 3 so far in 2019 in Michigan!  Actually, I found one and Daisy my German Shepherd found 2.
