After October and November and the hunting pressure, harvest, and end of the primary rut, December can be a challenging month.  Only my stands that have truly perfect entrance and exit are hunted as visual for the deer is excellent given no leaves and likely snow cover.   I really focus in on the dark period in December and mid day movement around full moon time.  My preference is to stay away from food sources in heavy cover because the mature bucks will not come there until after dark in pressured Michigan.
