December Timely Habitat Tips – Greg Skufca

It is really important to analyze your hunting season and document what worked and what didn’t work.  I make a spreadsheet in excel and document this in detail and begin to formulate my work plan for the three months of winter.  What licking branch set ups worked?  Did that new bedding area hold deer or do I need to enhance it?   Did the neighbors impact my hunting and are there further habitat steps I can take like doing another buck targeted clear cut or hinge cut to hold more bucks?  Did my food plots deliver food and ambush opportunities as expected?  If not why and how do I fix it?
